The first Poland-Azerbaijan Innovative Finance Forum

The first Poland-Azerbaijan Innovative Finance Forum took place online on June 27, 2024, and was organized by the Polish Embassy in Baku, Fintech Poland, Azerbaijan Fintech Association and Azerbaijan Banks Association.    

 

The event was opened by the Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Baku Bartosz Musiałowicz. The CEO of Fintech Poland Paweł Widawski presented a detailed description of the Polish fintech sector, the Azerbaijani sector was presented by the Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Fintech Association Ruslan Talibov and the Executive Director Azer Akbarov. In turn, the Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Banks Association Yunus Abdulov characterized the banking market of Azerbaijan.    
 

The event provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, gain insights into market trends and development opportunities on both markets. The event highlighted innovative solutions from Polish and Azerbaijani fintech companies aiming to collaborate. During the meeting, fintech companies from Poland (Digital Fingerprints, New Digital Street, Visiona, Face Phi, LexisNexis Risk Solutions) and Azerbaijan (eManat, ExpressPay, Mobile Payment Systems, United Payment Azerbaijan) presented their solutions, while the Rymarz Zdort Maruta law firm presented the rules for entering the Polish fintech market.    

 

Over 100 participants from both countries took part in the event.
